My self review for my big data first draft consists of highlighting the different sources and the information I say. At the top of the first draft there is a color key to indicate what color means what. This helped me in revision because it helped me see how I integrated my sources and helped me see the flow of my paper. It also helped me see what areas needed more attention throughout my piece. My practice of peer review has helped me with critiquing my writing because I usually think about the rubrics we use. When I go through my piece I check to make sure my piece aligns with the rubric. I have found that self-editing my paper helps me ensure that it is as strong as it can be and my development with peer review since the start of the semester has really helped.
