The active reading process I chose to use was colored highlighter and annotations next to it. During my first read through I highlighted the main ideas in the section with one colored highlighter and then the next idea I would change the color of the highlighter. This is similar to the chunking kind of method we have done previously. After I highlighted the entire chapter I went through and wrote down my thoughts/questions/connections to what I highlighted. Some challenges I found was that I felt like I needed to have WAY more colors to highlight everything so that it was a different color. Thats just a personal challenge. The benefit I found was that it really helped me see the different topics and ideas throughout the chapter and having it color coded helps a lot.
