TRIAC of Privacy and Internet

TRIAC of Privacy and Internet

There has been large debate today about if Big Data is a positive or a negative. The biggest concern for many people is that Big Data is an invasion of privacy that big companies do not see as an issue. For example in a 2009 interview with Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt he states that “If you’re doing something that you don’t want other people to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.” Schmidt’s view on the debate of privacy is that it doesn’t really matter and if you don’t want these companies to see what you are doing you probably shouldn’t do it. But we can see that when an article posted a lot of facts about him he didn’t appreciate it all that much. While we can say that privacy isn’t a big deal and that we have nothing to hide but when we discover that people actually use our private information it makes us uncomfortable.
